Figured this would be dead as per my last note from 2014, but to my surprise this was full, rounded. Rather pure. melded rasberry, cherry pit and stone with a long tannic finish. I can only say there is some serious bottle variation or taint issues. But for just a fun pop and pour this was delightful.

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2015-02; Red Burgundy. (@ PD): Fairly light and elegant bouquet with some autumn forest impressions. On the palate juicy red fruits, of acidity and slightly sticky, a bit drying tannin. Overall an ok, but a bit thin wine which is nice and not really special. Possibly on the brink of being too old. My score for tonight was 86.

served with loin veal chop with a whole grain mustard scallion sauce; the veal was superb - the wine was rather tepid and unfocused; while a burgundy is still the recommended choice - a wine with more flavor and depth is required for this dish...

Bought off list at Campagne: sadly the wine seemed dead... nose showed wilted flowers (roses). The back end was just gone

disappointing. thin. very thin. what was once, on release a vibrant wine, is a shell of itself today.
