Cork was depressed and fell in when I tried to open the bottle. Perhaps saved by the foil wrapper, which was also a bit soiled, perhaps through secondary fermentation. Color is lightly rust brown. At 15.7 percent alcohol, nose is strong cognac like oak, spice. The high alcohol content and secondary fermentation may have helped preserve the wine. Drink it like cognac without the burn.

MEDICINAL, MUSHROOMS, A LITTLE BIT OF FRUIT TRYING TO GET OUT. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT BOTH BOTTLES COULD BE CORKED?

Very ripe, fruity taste, great oak-too much, long, long finish of raspberry candy, closed nose.
