This is my favourite sort of wine when it is going well... and here it really is going well. Relaxing and interesting, this has strong oak aromas on the nose but brings pineapple and other sweet nicely textured fruits to the party. Delicious now and for a couple of years...

Has come together and has become a quite a decent drink. Lacks a bit of fatness and opulence though, and is still a bit too acidic. I reckon that the richer 2009 vintage of this will be better.

Clear, lemon-green colour. Quite complex aromas of flint, match stick, butter malt and nuts. Harmonious and well balanced, nicely integrated oak. Pleasant, long after taste. All in all a very good straight bourgogne blanc with associations to meursault and puligny-montrachet

Popped and poured at the restaurant last night. For an entry-level white from Boillot, this surely doesn't feel like it, and is on-par with many villages and even 1er crus from other producers. Deep and complex hints of citruses on the nose, followed by intense pomegranate and orange flavors on the palate, though mixed with a very good level of acidity. The finish is long, and very clean, precise, laser-cut. An amazing effort.
