Cloudy orange. Interesting fruit/minerality. Acid on the finish. This is an unusual, but ultimately enjoyable Pinot Gris, with more flavor and body than expected.

In transition, having lost some of its youthful zip and grip, but still pleasantly fresh. Not sure where this is heading at 6 years old - could gain complexity, could just flatten out. That said, totally enjoyable in this moment, and continuing to be excellent with food, this time a faked up quick ramen dinner.

My goodness this is so much more interesting that my prior bottle. The varietal spiciness of Piot Gris has come out more than in the past, and added much to the overall complexity of the wine. It's no longer just a cloudy/hazy (in appearance and taste) fruit salad, but really a complete wine with good balance from start to finish, and a lingering, almost savory presence that draws me back from sip to sip. Very fine.

It's been two years since the last bottle but this hasn't changed much. Still a cloudy peachy orange color. Lots of sediment. Tart citrus melon and peach, some minerals and lots of acidity. A fun fresh summer wine that is a great with food. Perhaps a little pricey though.
