This is the Auction bottle. Deep orange hue. Clear. Lovely nose. Ripe tropical fruits, peaches, melon, oranges. Ripe but not overpowering. Palate well balanced. Acid integrated. Clean finish. Most enjoyable.

Really surprisingly fresh aromas with dried apricot, herbs, and lightly caramel that truly seduces. Really delicate aromas.
Precise and instant fresh in the start and the wine grows into a pretty full-bodied and complex wine with this surprisingly fresh mouthfeel that really makes you smile. Fresh yellow fruits, stone fruit peel, pepper, forest spices and pretty caramel. Long and really pretty acidic yet sweet-looking finish in perfect harmony. Almost with a touch of lemon meringue feeling. Top wine that together with spicy food is nirvana. 96 points.

Excellent fill level, cork soaked fully, it poured to an almost amber color. I don’t have experience to say if this is advanced for 24 but the wine was still fresh with good balance. It was tasty if not quite simple, with apricot liqueur and apple notes

Rieslingfeier Grand Tasting (New York City, NY): In contrast to the more botrytis-inflected 1997, this is a paragon of balance. The botrytis is a bit more subdued here and plays counterpoint to the racy acids, which form the centerpiece. The fruit here gives the heft to this monumental bottle.

First time with this. Considering the vintage, what a lovely effort. Heavier and riper than the '97 tried alongside it.
