Blind Night (Jock): Deep ruby color. Strawberries on the nose and palate. Earthy finish with a slight bitterness. No idea as to what this wine was. Jock's 2nd wine.

Color: inky purple. Nose: chalky, unripe plums. Taste: A very typical cabernet franc. Lots of chalky tannins, some red cherries but also a touch of green vegetal flavor. I am not sure the fruit is going to last, although it tastes very young from the feel of the tannins. This is fine with grilled meat, but too sharp to drink on its own. Pucker up!

This was a very different wine from most. It tended toward the big red character of a cabernet, but at the same time had a good deal of finesse. Decent black / dark red fruits, with some oak. The tannins were extremely mouth drying, but left a nice medium length finish. Good balance. Was better with a little air time, and better slightly chilled. Would recommend.
