  • 2010 Bieler Père et Fils Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Rosé Sabine 89 Points

    France, Provence, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence

    Pale orange color. Smells of white cherries. Tastes of watermelon, cantaloupe, and cherry. Very well balanced. Crisp refreshing finish with no hard edges. Very nice. 13.5% alcohol.

  • 2002 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Clos Windsbuhl 94 Points

    France, Alsace

    Golden yellow color. Apple nose. Tastes of apple, melon, and lemon with a beautiful petrol character. Nice minerality. Excellent balance. Elegant finish with very nice depth and complexity. My WOTN and first contribution. 13.5% alcohol.

  • 2006 Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts 92 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru

    Pale yellow color. Aromas of apple and petrol. Tastes of apple with some toasted oak and nice minerality. Well balanced. Rich elegant finish with nice depth of fruit. My guess was white Burgundy. Scott's 1st wine. 13.5% alcohol.

    Light golden color. Sour apple nose with some oxidation. Tastes of lemon and lime. Bitter acidity. Terrible. Josh's 1st wine. 13% alcohol.

    Brownish cloudy ruby color. Cherry and tomato on the nose. Taste of earthy blackberry fruit. Rustic finish. My guess was Russian River Pinot Noir. Rick's 1st wine. 13.5% alcohol.

    Deep ruby color. Strawberries on the nose and palate. Earthy finish with a slight bitterness. No idea as to what this wine was. Jock's 2nd wine.

    Dark ruby color. Floral red fruit aromatics with some bell pepper. Tastes of blackberry and currant. Seems to fall a bit flat on the finish. Good balance. My guess was Left Bank Bordeaux. Josh's 2nd wine.

  • 2007 Grassini Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 92 Points

    USA, California, Central Coast, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara

    Dark ruby color. Black currant fruit on the nose. Tastes of blackberry, mocha, cherry, currant and charred oak. Good balance. Rich powerful finish with fine grained tannins. Impressive how well this wine is knit together at such a young age. A guilty pleasure. My 2nd wine. 15.3% alcohol.

    Almost black in color. Aromas of black fruit and eucalyptus. Tastes of blackberry and currant. Well balanced. Rich finish with some tannins and a touch of alcohol on the finish. My guess was a new world cab blend. Rick's 2nd bottle.

    Black in color. Bing cherry nose. Tastes of blackberry and cherry. Loads of alcohol on the finish. Not a fan. My guess was new world Tempranillo. Disappointing on the reveal. What happened to these wines? Scott's 2nd bottle.
