Nice, balanced, light touch but powerful dark red fruits mixed with a bit of strawberry. I normally like my wines with tertiary flavours and this was good but I feel a little more fruit would have benefited it - and so I respectfully suggest drinking up quickly if you have any left....

Not as exciting as I was hoping. Some nice red berry flavours opened in the glass, added a bit of orange rind and was nicely balanced on the palate. It just felt a little dilute perhaps.

Super impressive straight from the get-go, this oozes quality from the appearance to the nose to the palate to the finish. Some iron filings with orange peel with cherries and black fruit all wrapped around a smooth core. There is a nice crunch and cleansing finish and then all that Mencia goodness come through on the finish. A killer hybrid lovechild of Cornas and Bordeaux.

Very sleek, mature to perfection. Took an hour to start showing, but once it did the aromas blossomed with fresh cherries, raspberries, plum, violet, and some nice bacon fat smokiness. The palate is structured like an exceptional village Burg, but with Syrah - like flavors of Mencia, black cherries, raspberry and a lot of floral violet flavors. At this point the wine is well integrated, not showing an excess of acid, however it is still quite fresh and should age nicely for a couple more years at least.

Red fruit (cherry), slight spice , nice tobacco, slight leather. Nice acidity. Good finish. Really enjoyable.
