Caramel and anise nose which opens and broadens with time in the glass. This is definitely mature, but the palate manages to gain flesh with time. Refreshing and lip-smacking.

Nearly a perfect 10 on the nose. Powerful, rich fruit with elements of fresh oak and lots of honey. Very slightly oxidized, for a 9 year old wine - adding an overtone of ripe apricot. Stone fruit and grapefruit in a medium weight body. Still bracingly tart, overshadowing any minerality. If i had another, i would wait 3-5 years, and it would be fascinating...

Medium gold. Toasted hazelnuts and vanilla nose. Toasted hazelnuts, vestiges of baked apple and some mushroom and tannin on the finish. The acid shows itself, for sure. Lots to enjoy in this bottle but its best days are behind it.
