Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 86 points

  • Impressive depth of color and highly aromatic mixture of soil, cherry, and greener notes. Medium weight, some wood, tart sour cherry fruit and reasonable length. The acidity of the vintage shows. Maybe not as fine in the mouth as the nose, but there is plenty here for a Bourgogne, and in contrast to some higher priced specimens from this variable vintage, this had enough fruit to buffer the acidity. Good effort.

  • Promising nose - broad red fruits and funky earth. Very full on the palate for a bourgogne; medicinal cherry flavors with some licorice; decent but nothing special; little bit of spice here too. Decent for a bourgogne, 86-87.
