On first taste, this had a green apple acidity, and green vegetable flavor similar to a Cotes de Gascon. Very crisp and lively, still young acting. As it transversed the palate, the influence of oak changed that crisp freshness into a caramel, spicy rooty flavor. Not that oak is all bad, it just decreases that lively freshness. It becomes more apparent as the glass gets some air, and even more as the bottle is open longer. I kind of guessed the oak even on the store shelf as the color is quite golden. The nose has ginger and fig. The fruit has that slightly oxidized character with spiced apples, apricot, and some citrus. Barely medium bodied. Not holding up well as we drink through the bottle. The acidity is fading. The finish is brown spice and mulled apples.

The bouquet is buttery, grapefruit, and pear. The palate is pear, vanilla, woodsy, mineral with a slightly oak finish. Not exactly smooth all around, but not bad either. Did enjoy with baked chicken.

Pale yellow and clear. Apricot pear and honey nose. Grapefruit and honey on the palate. Crisp, clean and dry.

Nice, but somewhat non-descript.

Green apple turning to red apple, honeysuckle, cut green grass and faint stone fruit on the nose. A little flabby of the follow through.
