Nose, very tart, rich and smokey, time in the glass softens the tartness and makes way for a woody/oaky vanilla. Pallete is more balanced and integrated, all of the flavours sit well, surprisingly fresh with an ensemble of Black Forest fruit. Now having been opened for 1hr the nose has moved in to that traditional cassis, wow.

Brittannia Group (Hix Mayfair): pale considrable browning. Very earthy and mineral, big burly and robust. Good length and some richness behind but not the most subtle of burgundies.
