Second time in a month for the 2009, this is an enormous wine, quite tannic structure but enormous fruit to back it up and keep the wine going for decades, black fruits, blackberry, cassis, almost no secondary notes now, this is a 40-50 year wine. I suspect my son will experience the glory of a fully developed 2009 or 2010. The 2005 is glorious but I think only another 10 years before it will be really at its best.

Opulent nose, black fruits, graphite, cedar, coconut and vanilla.
Structured palate with magnificent intensity. A 4-hour decanting was necessary to soften this noble beast. The juice is thick and velvety with a magnificent balance, thanks in particular to a fine acidity which stretches the wine to infinity. Second part of the palate is spicier with flavors of undergrowth. Great finish with a still notable tannic mass which will take a few more years to fully blend, good length on the graphite.
Excellent Pauillac, still very young.
