The nose showed a bit of heat at first, which was odd given its vintage, and that it is a Zinfandel. Perhaps the blends used let it age well, as it still seemed young, even on the palate, where the tannins (yes, tannins on Zin!) were very noticeable, and in quantity. Overall this seemed like a mislabeled cabernet sauvignon, from the flavor profile to the body to the finish, but even the cork said Zin, so I guess that's what it was...

Good fruit, tannins are gone now. Probably near its peak so drink up.

Was OK. Not very distinctive or exciting. I won't be buying again.
