Still alive and vibrant. Decanted for 90 minutes and enjoyed mix of red and black fruits with beautiful spice and light cedar. Tannins are light and has a slightly sweet first touch but then explodes in your mouth and finishes smoothly and with 20 second length.

Yeah this is quite good. Big concentrated Grenache which is fully developed. If you have some I would be drinking up. It's almost murky to look at. Tobacco and dark fruits. I'm enjoying it.

A terrific wine! Nearing the end of its drinking window but still good. The taste tremendous. OK, its a fruit bomb, but with all sorts of flavors going on. Big smoky, tobacco hit, with plum and cherry. Great big mouthfeel and a long finish. Very integrated. No heat from the hi (15.5) alcohol. Irritated to find that now no-one is shipping this to the States and you cannot get it. Grrr. Very different Grenache. We like to compare grapes from different locations and I would have loved to have had a few more bottles of this. Longevity for a Grenache.

Perhaps a little confected and showing a little alcohol heat so not completely in balance. At the sweeter end of the spectrum but still some juicy, spicy flavours dominate the palate and the tannins work in particularly well to give this a lovely mouthfeel. Oak has been judiciously handled and all in all an enjoyable drink, just didn't move me like some of the other tasting notes indicate.

Kalleske Old Vines Granache - a vertical tasting (Mersch offices, Giva't Coach): Very concentrated, with good fruit. Full, round. Good
