Just ok. might have waited too long, or just don't like it as much as I used to. Expected more spice and complexity from a dry creek zin, especially since these folks want quite a bit for their zins

Deep garnet. Strawberry jam, spice, and rubber nose. Light to medium bodied, intensly peppery, candied cranberries, red cherries, soft tannins, cola, some port-like characteristics, and a medium finish. Better on day 2.

- Crimsom color. It's overly tannic and has flavours of kerosene, black pepper and smokey with a medium/full body. Coarse texture with a medium finish.

The alcohol on the nose burns my nostrils! Somewhere beneath the alcohol is a hint of drunken yeast and dark blackberries and toasty oak. Mouth is big, fruity, smooth... a little tang of plumquot balances the big blackberry. Very smooth and balanced and BIG all around, as you'd expect a Lodi Zin to be. One of the best though!

A clean, bright, and fruity Zinfandel that retains a complex and restrained structure in spite of its immense flavor. Very drinkable, stands up to strongly flavored dishes. Quite nice.
