Beautiful aroma of sweet cherries, pure fruit. Some savory sweet beef jerky emerged later. Balanced mix of fruit and acids with some slight tannins on the palate. Concentration is light, however, leading to short finish. Very good drink that can definitely last a few more years with proper cellaring.

The bottles I have opened seem to vary in quality, and have everything to do with getting air onto the scene to settle it out. Some I have opened I have let decant for several hours, or even overnight. Since I didn't have that kind of time for this latest one, I did a quadruple vinturi aerator for each glass. It was great ... and the tannins for this bottle were less intrusive than the last bottle; back to my comment about variation in quality. Ruby colored with black fruit aroma and taste, as well as a faint hint of Vanilla. A bit of an angular texture, though the vinturi helped tremendously. Score for this one [50 + 5 + 13 + 16 + 5] = 89.

Aromas and flavors of enjoyable cow pasture, red berries, and a little toasted cedar. Medium to full bodied on the mouthfeel. Long finish with sweet tannins. Has at least another 5 years to go.
