Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Aged in 500 liter barrels, 50% new. Nuanced aromas of red cherry and spice. Much more structured palate than the Quercia, less fruitiness and a more refreshing acidic brightness. The added flavor complexity is also striking. Grippy and refined tannins lead into the finish. I would call this a half-modern style, and it's a lovely wine, if a bit pricey at $35.
