  Truffle, darkish red fruit, green pepper and herbs. Very expressive and elegant. Drinking wonderfully now.

  Nose of dark chocolate and cherries, lush and smooth. Decanted for an hour before drinking, needs more time.

  “Merlot from a Bordeaux-perspective”-Tasting in June 2014, Flight 6, Wine 3 (blind). The wine was medium to dark garnet in colour and threw some sediment. It offered a developed nose of blackberry, plum, vegetal notes, a hint of chocolate, leather and some ethereal notes, supplemented by herbal spiciness. On the palate the wine showed blackberry, damson plum, prune, leather, tobacco and spicy notes, paired with lively, medium-level acidity and medium-level tannin. A very good, medium-bodied Bordeaux with good complexity.

  Absolutely a very good wine, but I am not so hallelujah as previous tasters.
  It is a wine of deep colour, elegance and also power, but of less complexity than expected.
  However this bottle was the first of six, so I can retaste.
