Barbera seems to take on a darker fruit profile as it ages, picking up a bit of herb and liquorice on the way - interesting but I think I prefer it with lush, youthful fruit.

Best on opening - lots of ripe black cherries, soft but good acidity. Later on it loses definition a little as it softens. A good glugger - ideal with pasta and meat/tomato sauces.
