Fruit is great still, but this guy has no finish. It just disappeared after mid palate. Can't believe that I paid this much for a fruit bomb. No more. Done with PM pinots. Way overpriced.

A well-aged Pinot that offers round fruit in a smooth package. Brick Ted in color, medium in body, lovely nose of violets and raspberry. Tastes of tart cherry, cranberry, soil, and cedar, with a fully integrated finish. 14.4% alcohol. Made from grapes from Reuling Vineyard, this seems a bit more classic (and a bit less modern) than more recent wines from Peter Michael - in a good way. Drink now or next year or so.

Dark ruby color. Borders on opaque. Spicy nose with plenty of vanillin oak (you either like the style or you do not - I do). Also cola and hint of espresso. On the palate, there is a clear bit of smoke taint from the fires that year. Not as bad as the 2008 Morlet Pinots, but there. Some sour cherry on the back palate.
