  • Notes of black raspberry, cherry, blueberry, hint of pepper with nice balance and acidity. Medium finish. Paired with grilled miso salmon.

  • Popped and poured. Lovely penetrating floral nose. Ripe black cherry, black tea and herbs. Medium bodied, quite racy but balanced. Has aged quite well but showing no signs of being tired

  • Drank this with at dinner with a 2003 Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze. Both wines were in a great spot and paired well with sous vide duck breast. Interesting comparison as the Peter Michael leans burgundian and the Beze was more of a meaty, dark fruit Cali style pinot.
Agree with Mark1npt's tasting notes below, delicious, elegant, interesting wine that avoids the cola flavors that plague so many of its west coast neighbors. Drink up!

  • Pnp'd from a mag at the HMCs prior to Thanksgiving dinner. Needs every bit of 1-2 hours to drink well but the nose is fantastic right from the get go. Perfumed red fruit...cherry mostly, but HMC says rhubarb/cherry. I can't argue with his assessment. It's classy, it's fragrant and it's good. Drinks well until about 6 hours in and then it turns a bit more classic on the nose, but a tad more tart cherry in the mouth. Just a beautiful wine....happy to share it with good friends tonight, Still, very good acidity, so plenty of time to go for this one. While not up to the score of my last bottle, this is still a high quality wine.
