Very youthful still, none of the stewed raisiny notes some here got. Big fruit and a teeny tad of residual sugar, balanced, plummy jammy fruit but some acidity and minerality to balance.

Splash decanted and drank over next four hours. No detailed notes. Big spice. Black and red fruit about equal. Hints of licorice. Long finish. No, huge finish, especially after four hours. One of my favorite non-Paso Turley vineyards.

Each time I open up an older Turley zin, it reminds me not to feel guilty about pulling the corks on the younger ones. This one was very tired. Alcoholic, stewed and raisiny.

Ultra-ripe blueberry and blackberry on the nose, with some hints of cedar and graphite. Similar notes on the palate, with a medium-length, smooth finish. Hides the 15%+ alcohol well. Headed downhill, so drink up if you have this in your cellar. It won’t benefit from more age.

A little pruned, hot and overripe. Part of the old days of overripe Turleys
