  Dark gold. Definite whiff of oxidation about this bottle as well as the advanced colour. Intriguingly after some air it lightened up a bit and managed some lime, lemon and floral with a touch of bitter almond. Plenty acidity. Flawed but could sense the decent wine behind it.

From the nose, I would guess there will be some sweetness on the palate. Very rewarding to just smell—well layered even though it’s not tremendously complex, and real elegance to the balance of aromas. On the palate, it’s really quite intense, and despite my impression from the nose, it comes off as being pretty much dry. I still think there is a bit of RS in there, but it’s balanced out by powerful, lemony acidity. Luxurious texture for a riesling, medium-full bodied, with some creaminess and considerable breadth. The floral and mineral-“petrol” characteristics present themselves beneath the fruit, as well, and the finish is juicy, honeyed, and quite long, with just a brush of sweetness. This is really good stuff and is drinking beautifully right now, but I think it will continue to evolve and drink well for many more years.

  Eloisa, monipuolinen, mehukkaan hunajainen, kypsän sitruunan kuorta, tyypillinen mineraalisuus pehmentynyt miellyttävästi. Auennut loistavaksi viiniksi ja tunnistettavissa ehdaksi Dirler-Caden Rieslingiksi.
  
  The wine looks light gold colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon, petrol, mineral, pineapple and honey. It tastes like lemon, pineapple, petrol and honey. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity
