very well balanced. Right amount of oak compliments the buttery feel. Opened up after an hour and the apple and pineapple nose came through. Since I can't find more from this year, I'll try the 2006 next.

If you like a traditional California chardonnay, this is a great example - nicely, but not overly oaked, pleasantly buttery, a soild range of fruit flavors. Smooth on the finish. While I tend to prefer a more French style chard, I will buy mroe of this wine.

(PESSAGNO SLEEPY HOLLOW CHARDONNAY) #1; NOSE-tight; TASTE-Wow…surprise…tremendous bottle of wine, much more complete than Beringer, still has explosive Oak flavor, but much more integrated into the overall fruit, a TREMENDOUS effort; GV-91

Smooth, mouthcoating buttered popcorn Cal chard with a very long finish.

nice gold cl; nose: nice, golden del apples, caramel, little fresh cut lawn; cream brulee
palate: just opened - so still closed; seems to have good balance.
Problem: after 3-4 hours really got to be too pineappley and CA in flavor. Not myp pick.
