  • The second bottle was disappointing. Though there were no signs of flaw, the wine was watery and lean compared to the prevous one, with no tanins and a short aftertaste with some spice and obvious oak.

  • Popped and poured. Fairly dark ruby-garnet. Initially some reduction, barnyard, cedar and red cherries on the nose. After some time in the glass, intense sour cherries in sugar syrup (a traditional Greek sweet), dark cherries and spice with nicely integrated vanilla. Mid-bodied with firm tanins, nice, fresh fruit, balancing acidity and medium, spicy aftertaste. Very enjoyable but with potential to improve further over the next 5 years. Incredible QPR at around 7 Euros, shames Nemeas that cost 3-4 times as much.
