Color/App: translucent carmine/ruby core -> diffuse garnet rim; medium+ viscosity. Raspberries, sous-bois, iodine and cranberry bouquet with a touch of rusticity. Beetroot and black cherry coming to the forefront with an iron minerality and earthiness filling out the midpalate. Nice, long finish with excellent acidity and good weight to my mind. Showing it's '09 origins, this is very bright and uplifted but shows off some depth with that Cazetiers pedigree. Drinks fine now but will easily hold for quite a few years (& might even improve a bit).

I think this has the potential to go higher, when I had it it wasn't prototypical 2009... this wine was less round than I would have expected given the vintage, it had some good fruit - call it dark red fruit, had some spice but primary in general... wonder if my other bottle will be good in ten years... not intriguing enough to go out and buy 6 or 12 but I will be interested in how it evolves... no rush whatsoever

Tasted vis-a-vis the Beaune Clos des Ursules, this shows more stuffin, more rustic character, a deeper fruit - needs time to come around, the warm vintage gives sweetness and allows drinking now, but it's a shame really ... #B&J

Very nice and drinking well, but perhaps lacking abit of depth and concentration.

Becomes more complex. But, as much, it lost some lushness. But very good value for $50.
