  • 13% alcohol. Good long dense cork. Opened at the last minute as a replacement for its corked twin sister. Pale golden colour. The nose is timid at first, but it gets much deeper and richer after some time in the glass; the mouth is not as good, with reasonable fruit marred by a slightly excessive acidity. There is also a suggestion of TCA, but nothing like the previous bottle. It could just be a remnant of contamination on my palate (the glass is a fresh one of course).
A mixed bag at best, and not a repeat purchase. For that level of weight and concentration, one can do much better at half the price in Mâconnais.

  • Odd chemical nail-varnish-like smell on opening. Poured in a decanter hoping that it would blow over. Turns out to be hopelessly corked.
Only my second corked bottle in nearly 230 tasting notes, so not a major problem from my viewpoint.
