Impressive showing for this. At the last Clos Saron dinner we did the youngest Carte Blanche tasted oxidized and sherry-like, but that's not the case here, with the fruit bright and totally pure. I love the scent, which has this salty, briney, oceanwater thing going on that carries through to the back end which seems to positively sparkle with freshness. The mouthfeel of the wine is almost oily with its body and gloss but at the same time as you savor it, it develops this chalkiness to the texture that's almost like the sensation of tannin in a red wine. Fascinating wine that gets you practically drooling for seafood.

Shows tart fruit and freshly cut herbs (esp. chive and thyme) characteristics on the nose and palate both. Quite dry, with zesty acidity, a tender but well-defined body, and smooth-ribbed minerality. Sauvignon Blanc (38%), Viognier (27%), Chardonnay (19%), and Roussanne (16%). 13.2% abv

I found this cleaning out the garage. I don’t know how it got there. Been there a while. It was gone.

This was pretty good. It was crisp, and stony, with white stone fruit perceptions.
