Smells of lemon, cream, yeast, flint, wet stone, & hay. Tastes of lemon minerals, slight cream, & grapefruit. Light-medium Bodied. A straightforward wine, showing heavy minerals, and a great pairing with fresh crab meat.

In a good place now - no formal notes but Picq 09 is a beautiful bottle of Chablis - nothing too fancy, medium body but the brine/sea shells is really coming through. Nice purity.

For the price point ($16 @ winelibrary) its a very good wine. The first thing to notice is that the body is relatively light - but it has a great nose - cellar/cheese, etc. a bit angular and keeps you coming back. The wine seems a bit dumb on the palate - and the brininess didn't show up until the second day. Acidity is (not surprising) a bit low given 09 but is sufficient to balance the wine. I'm guessing that this needs to rest for a year or so and will show much better.

Crisp, taut, clean. Sweet nose of orchard fruits and orange peel; a bit tart, creamy, with zesty lemon and lime flavors and minerals; long zesty finish with an interesting lichee note at the very end. Great value, but a touch tart/out of balance for my palate. It needs food.

Clean nose of apple, lime and a touch herbal. Zippy up front, rounding out with a range of citrus fruits. The finish has a saline mineral component, almost like crushed seashells. Very fresh and a beautiful village wine.
