Should have read my last note. Those descriptors are spot on. Decanted 45mins but wasn't enough. Gave it another 45mins and cooled down and it came alive after more time in glass. Try (harder) to wait until nearer 2020 for next bottles.

This is aging wonderfully. I have had a number of bottles since my last note... Which I now find untrue. Slow oxed for 7hrs, double decanted, then took a further 1hr in the glass to unfurl... To show great complexity, fruit salad, and a lingering sultana spice finish. Tangy, velvety and wonderful. Good 2009 Beaujolais are aging magnificently - make no mistake.... These will be best in another 5 years or more! Try to hold off until 2020.

Lovely wine (although wax was a bit tricky to remove). Needs 15mins of air but has a lovely balance - some acidity which offsets the slight sweetness and 'bite'. Nice medium body and nose that evolved but always red/dark fruit and floral. Still improving, won't last as long as some other top Fleuries, but try not to drink them all now! Drink now-2018.

Annual Beaujolais Bash-First Chance to Assess 2010 (Mostly Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Magnum. Nice, lively red fruit and spice. Much more pleasing weight than the Regnie.

Spicy and interesting, fuller-bodied than expected, and altogether nice.
