  Dark garnet red with watery and brick edges. Nose is a tad off but opens with a bit of red cherries, cinnamon and some damp leaves. Balanced acidity and tannins (5/10) with a light plus to medium body. Interesting aged palate with notes of dried cherries, branches, leaves and very dry. Medium finish but dryness lingers. Drink now.

  Pnp at Kalibu at the Victoria and Alfred waterfront in Cape Town. I was extremely worried given the age but this wine surprised me.
  
  Light bark on the nose and the color did not look like a 32 year old wine.
  
  Body still holding up although a hint of acidity age in the finish.
  
  We did not decant and we expected it too soften too quickly.
