Takes me back to the weeks momma and I spent in the south of France. Okay, 2 am and I am loading in the Garagiste shipment, but I am completely sober. I needed the space for something else. Very port like, but not. What I mean is, I would expect more depth from vintage Port, and this is not particulary deep or cerebral, sort of like port light. But it is not bad, served at cellar temp, with a nice waft of chocolate Chukar cherry in the nose and flavors that are a hint raisiny, creamy cherry fruit, light in body. Definite chocolate in the finish. Great, no. Good, you bet and probably needs to be consumed within the year. Probably high priced at $21 by today's standards, but it is a fifth unlike many stickies.

Deft, well-made off-dry red that paired well with food. I was impressed. Lovely texture, nice depth in the smoky, chocolate and coffee fruit.

Cocoa and cardamon flavor. Just off dry- not cloyingly sweet. A nice but not spectacular pairing with a chocolate tart.

Seemed a tad old, not too sweet, nut and caramel in the nose, still ample tannin with coffee and bitter chocolate.
