We've had this cellared for at least two years. Paired well with a beef fillet with a garlic/pepper rub (charcoal). Beets, onion, & garlic cloves and asparagus (all grilled). Has an earthy nose with hints of clove, smoke, cherry, & leather. The taste is beyond expectations! Just sweet enough to drink alone but with this meal, brilliant!

Begins with a rush of dark cherry and berry aromas, accented by notes of cedar, dark chocolate and spicy vanilla contributed by the use of French oak. A sip reveals the wine’s French styling, with elegant red cherry, raspberry and rhubarb fruit, supported by lean, silky tannins and bright acidity, lingering on the palate throughout the prolonged finish to develop nuances of spice, tobacco and mocha.

We drank at a restaraunt, for $71, and it was really nice. It is especially nice for the price shown as the community average. It had nice fruit on both the nose and pallate. It was also very smooth on the pallate without much tannin.

Above average but not great. A little too much fruit an acidity for my taste.

Nicole's Annual Wine Tasting - "Red Blends" (Alexandria, VA): tasted blind. nose of sweet tobacco. On the palate, very heavy tannins dominate with red fruit and more tobacco.
