Basically identical to my previous bottle. Freshness and weight, balanced and energetic, earth and ripe fruit, delicious bitters, lovely flavours and length. Excellent typicity.

Early June 2016: deep yellow; lime and apple in nose and mouth, strong petrol flavour; medium body and acid.
Very often I encountered Schloss Reinhardtshausen Riesling wines with an expressive petrol flavour. Sometimes I kind of liked it but in this case it was too much. Otherwise a fine wine.

Much better than the bottle tasted in November 2015 and an interesting comparison with Weil's Kiedricher Gräfenberg EG 2007. This bottle reflects the freshness and energy of the 2008 vintage, bringing the minerality to the fore, but without disavowing the warmth and richness of the Marcobrunn terroir. The complexity of Gräfenberg is superior, but the ripe fruit of blood orange and grapefruit in this wine is pure and engaging and the length is very good. Delicious, at peak.

Fully mature, attractive and gentle, still fresh (if served well chilled), lovely Marcobrunn typicity, medium weight, good fruit (grapefruit), but is losing tension and length. Drink up.

Late Apr 2015: nearly colorless; apple, lemon, lots of alcohol in the nose; petrol; smooth with lots of alcohol in the mouth.
Not bad, but a bit too much petrol and alcohol.
