  • Light straw color. The nose gives some apple and white flowers. On the palate there is more apple with lively acidity, some spritz, and a touch of honey. The finish is medium length. 50 + 4 + 10 + 16 + 7

  • My last bottle, and it was (once more) affected by a bad cork. Soft cork soaked all the way through. Confirmed on the nose and palate. This particular bottle got too much oxygen through the cork. Curious, prematurely aged aromas - no petrol, but otherwise showing a toasty, caramelly aspect that you usually get only with much older Rieslings. But they were in contrast to other young aspects of the wine. Improved a bit after addition of SO2, which IMHO proves that it had seen too much oxygen...too bad because it can be a very satisfying Kabinett.

  • Rheingau x Franken (ABS-SP): Bright Straw color, fume notes on the nose, white fruit and after a while a sweaty note. The high residual sugar is a little over the edge. Should match well with smoked salmon.
