I enjoyed this wine. I last had it 7 years ago and it has matured but not necessarily improved. Overall, about the same level of enjoyability but this is not a powerhouse or a wine that will last for decades. I would recommend drinking these now, and enjoying the mix of young and mature flavors.

Slow ox for 90 mins before serving. Spice, herbs, animal, feral, and smoked dark fruit. Grand cru structure and length without that boldness that one may find in many Jadot’s wine. Drinking very well but it will age gracefully.

Wine dinner at Modena in DC. WOTN, while I don't have detailed notes, this wine was stunning. Still plenty of fruit remaining, structure, balance and overall a very good expression of the vintage in Burgundy. So happy I have one more bottle in my cellar.

My Birthday Weekend; 10/23/2020-10/25/2020 (Chicagoland IL): Lots of red cherry and berry, nicely mature with a good amount of cooked mushroom and earth. Good+ depth and weight, even if not quite up to the level of a great Musigny from a very good vintage.

Ruinart Dinner (Travelle - Langham Hotel - Chicago IL): Open and decanted ~ 2 hours before serving. Nose of red berry, cherry starting to mature with savory spice and great sauteed mushroom character. Plate was similar in its flavor profile, but tight and barely accessible through the middle despite hours of air. I'm confident in this wine's quality and potential, but expect it will need another decade to show its real potential. 95 points on nose, 91 on palate today.
