The nose: vanilla, citrus, and yellow fruit. Palate: honey and caramel then the minerals came out. Very balanced and great structure. I like this bottle!

In pristine condition. Nose was everything you want from Ramonet with spearmint, vanilla, citrus, and yellow fruit. Palate was more prem cru than grand cru with round fruit alongside moderate plus acidity.

Wow. What a chameleon. When poured, we first thought maybe developed, then wow, what an evolution. The colour got lighter, and it evolved from developed notes of honey and caramel, to a dominate profile of minerals. Crazy how this changed. This was a meal ! A huge wine. Just got better and better. Smooth, gracious nose - not powerful but lovely presence. Hints of nuttiness on the nose. This has an extra dimension on the palate - real sophistication, and generates another gear as it opens up, real mid-palate excitement. Yum

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): The only of the Ramonet wines that did well in this tasting. Like the Coche Corton Charlemagne next to it, this was very crisp and light, almost too light but with lots of aromatic power. Lemon curd, pop corn, all the glory of Chard in Burg, wow, so precise. Grand!
