First off, this was fantastic just some odd characteristics. I was a little skeptical when I pulled this from the cellar last night, i don't usually sit on chardonnay's this long. I poured the wine and this crazy bright yellow liquid poured out, this was like no other chard i've seen, pretty close to the yellow egg dye for easter eggs. Anyway, I swirled the wine and the wine just coated the entire glass similar to a sticky. Not really sure what to make of this wine.
On the nose, i got lemon zest, lemon curd, and honey suckle, at this point i'm thinking is this going to be a sweet wine. I checked the bottle for any residual sugar percentage but nothing was printed. Took a taste, and on the palate I got this light soft airy wine with a soft touch of acid, and the wine just coated the palate. I could not get any other characteristics from the taste that differed from the nose, except the wine had a hint of sweetness to it. The bottle disappeared over a 3 hour period with bottle open the entire time and the didn't appear to evolve or fall apart. So it makes me think this wine may have a couple more years in it but why wait when it's good now.

consistent with earlier tasting notes - still drinking very well with a wonderful long creamy finish.
