Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: 3 Guys, lots of wine (@Home): Glass: Zalto Universal Tasted blind on day 1. Drunk over two days. Popped and poured from half bottle. Clear, medium golden color. Clean, medium- intense, developing nose. Unusually for a Riesling buttery and nutty, a bit smoky, dark and broad. Not flawed, simply strange. Medium-sweet, medium acidity. Lacks the vibrancy of other great wines from 2004. 7,5% abv On the palate very round and creamy, fine, ripe yellow fruit cooked in best Bourbon Vanilla. Lacks tension and excitement. Long life ahead, but I doubt that it will get any better. 88-89
