Gift from Mark. Opened while waiting for the July 4th fireworks. A blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Vignoles that employs 34% solera reserve. Light yellow color. A silky sparkler with a moderate bead. Notes of apples and pears. This had a solid body based on the solera aging. 87 points.

A touch tart, but otherwise well balanced. Generous bubbles, M body and M finish.

An almost 10 yr old bottle which now with age drinks like a nice vintage Champagne. Very well done.

I would put this sparkler against any produced in the US. This is a wonderful wine. Toasty and mildly yeasty. Apples and citrus. Yum.
