Not bad. Oak is still prominent, plenty of viscosity and clean fruit balanced by fresh acidity. An interesting and drinkable wine from Kistler's big oak period. Purchased and cellared from release.

Still drinkable and still heavily oaked. Citrus, green celery, oak, vanilla, metallic flavors. Tastes exactly like a heavy handed, over oaked Kistler from the 90's! But it is fresh. It isn't oxidized. Amazing.

Well it has lived in and is really good. Smokey and massive. Huge and textured.

Believe it or not, the wine hadn't turned. Still drinking well, even if it's lost a bit of its usual complexity.
