Light gold in the glass. Notable legs. Faint tropical aromas give way to assertive tropical flavors of citrus, pineapple. Structure and alcohol still apparent. This could probably keep for another 6-8 years but happy to drink now.

Golden amber yellow; rich, honey, hint of vanilla; powerful and rich, a tiny hint of oxidation (so probably good to drink it now before further ageing), rich sweet aftertaste with a slightly flat finish

2009 Kistler Chardonnay Wine Tasting with Coravin. Three different vineyards. All room temperature. Light, translucent, yellow, slightly golden, touch of straw. The legs fairly pronounced making us feel like the audience at a hula dance with those Polynesian, subtle yellow/brown hips gyrating. Luvly nose of Corton-Charlemagne, which reminds us of early mornings jogging along Bangkok Klongs as the earthy, burnt brioche, caramel candy, seafood and leathery aromas greet the bustling crowds. Similar to walking through a department store with luvly Barbie Dolls doling out overwhelming drops of the world’s best and worst perfumes. Smooth, subtle peach, orange, apple nectar. Salacious siren calling us to her lair…to which we answer without trepidation.

Golden color. Somewhat exotic aromas of pears, tropical fruit, ginger and minerals. Ripe, fully-integrated fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length. Nicely full and complex on the palate. At very end of its prime drinking period.
