I was very impressed with this. I think holding onto it for the extra couple of years paid dividends. The color is such a deep yellow, this feels right in its prime now - drink now. Honeysuckle, perfectly balanced, some intensity but nothing over the top, incisive citrus flavors with light fruits like melon. There's no edge anywhere. Delicious stuff. Am increasingly finding that ageing some whites like this makes a big difference.

Lively and fun to drink. Compared directly with a bottle of the 94-pt rated Calera Viognier and this Adelaida was better, although its maybe more a matter of style. This one was a bit buttery - almost like a Chardonnay, while the Calera was more crisp and fresh.

Quite huge for a white. Very enjoyable for red wine drinkers, profound.

Very expressive and lively. Great alternative to a chard in the warm weather. A bit buttery for some tastes, but great if you like that style.

This is just a touch better than the last time I had it. Great presence and backbone. A stunning California Viognier!
