  • An enjoyable so I will attribute a bottle on 07/24/20 as a flawed one.

Fuller in body than I remember in the past, alcohol is noticeable. More Sonoma than Santenay with loads of ripe almost stewed fruit, cola and spices, and noticeable oak. This bottle comes off as big but balanced.

  • Much better than a previous bottle. I am inclined to describe that one as flawed.

Med. body, appropriate PN flavor profile. Not overly complex but good length on the finish.

  • Distinctly brownish red color. Hot nose with some dark fruit and pepper. Med. body with aforementioned flavors. Hoping other bottles are a bit better.

  • Medium crimson in color, this wine reveals black cherry, cherry pie, pomegranate as well as anise on the nose. The mouth feel is more fuller bodied than expected and brought cola as well as earthy, mushroom undertones to the fruit. The finish was medium in length with brisk acidity and more earthy notes as well as subtle sassafras flavors. 14% abv.

Purchased for $46US, this is a well made, enjoyable offering that has nice complexity and plenty of life yet even at 7 years of age.

Imported by Terrell Wines, San Francisco, CA.
