Second bottle of 6. The first I tried nine or so months ago was definitely not open for Business and tasted a bit more like a jammy Californian PN.
This bottle was in a far better place with a lot more classical styling and some tertiary notes beginning to emerge. I feel this way will really start getting into stride in another 2+ years. For reference I enjoyed the 2000 CC until about 20 years of age so I wouldn’t expect this to be much different. A lovely wine from a great producer.

Second time trying this, and I have to say I was not blown away the second time. admittedly PnP but the age would suggest it would be ready to go. initial nose and palate were reminiscent of villages burg of significantly lower pedigree (the sort you might find in a supermarket?) but it did eventually open up to something that was passable. I'm a huge fan of these guys and buy many of their wines from the range but not sure I'll be laying this one down again. lets hope the remaining bottles fare better - I am happy to stand corrected.

Very enjoyable, red and bramble fruited with some length, and acceptable QPR.
