8/6/2017 4:37:00 AM - Hi Greg, I did like the Mansfield CS 2006, though I preferred the 2005. I've uploaded my rather pedestrian tasting notes. Cheers

8/29/2016 9:36:00 AM - Greg, I am one of the owners of GeekZ, I am the "G".... But here's what I can tell you about the 2012.... It was made by Ted Henry, at the time the winemaker at Jarvis. We used 100% Cabernet fruit from the Coombsville appellation, from a small vineyard that also supplied fruit to Merus (we were the only 2 to use that fruit). It spent 20+ months on French oak (1 new barrel and 1 "last years" barrel). We only made 2 barrels. This was the last year that we used this fruit since we (and Merus) lost it. After folks realized the quality, they wanted it, and the vineyard manager tripled the price and sold it all to one wine maker that was going to use it to improve his "lesser" wine. Hope this helps. Holler if you have more questions.

8/22/2016 8:22:00 AM - Good Morning to you and thank you for sharing. It sounds like you won and have the 2 bottles of 2005. Congratulations. The 2006 and 2005 are similar to each other. The 2006 is the little brother while the 2005 is the big brother. Both need decanting to maximize the enjoyment. Since you have 2 bottles of the 2005, decant one and taste it every 30 minutes to learn more about the wine. I usually drink half the first night and finish it the second night. 65% of the time, the wine is better the second night and this is usually the case with Peju HB Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did!
