4-5 hour decant and it needed that. This wine evolved every hour, it went from mud to rose petals. Very elegantly dry, red fruit dominated, strong and long finish. It is still young and can certainly age further—one of the best terroir-driven bottles I’ve had all year.

The nose was already a nice one, with direct and compact herbaceous notes that rarely comes from Cali Pinots. Purely red fruits on the palate, fresh and clean strawberries, zero jamminess, more on the secondary followed by touches of mud, light dirt, and green. Good stuff 👍
It was direct, with good power, and the black fruits on the front palate was beautiful and pure. Maybe just a tiny little jammy, but in a good way. This represents what a good Napa cab should be. It’s not too complex but after 1.5-2 hours, you do get a nice touch of tobacco and pepper notes. One of the more enjoyable Napa cabs I’ve had. Not cheap, but definitely a good buy in its price range.
