  • The bottle was crusted and the label a little torn, but otherwise in perfect condition. The cork was intact. The wine was medium to light garnet in colour and offered red fruit, spices and garrigue aromas on the nose, and red fruit, liquorice and nice garrigue flavours on the palate, with medium-level acidity, fully resolved tannin and good length. The medium- to light-bodied wine had moderate complexity, but good concentration. It was amazing how fresh and fruity the wine tasted; aeration in a small decanter for two hours did the wine no harm, and it drank even better the next day as a mildly disturbing rotten egg component blew off over the night.
