decanted for 2 hours before tasting. Nose of sweet vanilla and bright, almost grenache like strawberry. nice acidity which might have been why i picked up the strawberry notes. lengthy finish with some truffles emerging. consensus was to hold another 5 years but i felt it performed well.

Rose City Jeeb (Cafe Castagna - Portland, OR): Great nose of wild berries, fresh flowers, spices and wet earth. Thought the palate was nicely composed with zippy and juicy red fruit, nice earthen tones and elegant floral notes. Very nice stuff.

P&P'ed at home. Opened this after a miserable Bourgogne. Wow, this is rocking. Light ruby with bricking apparent. Wonderful nose of earth and red berries, palate has distinctive sous bois, raspberries, orange peel and light acidity. Tiniest bit astringent on the finish, but doesn't detract from the package. This is good to go now. Drank half and corked the rest.
Day 2, this is falling apart fast. This wine is definitely at its peak and if you open one, try to finish it off the same night.

Ready to go. Pure NSG, a bit tannic on the finish, but tastes like Cote d'Or more than anything else. This is the real deal, unlike the last bottle I opened.

Took an hour to open. Brick-salmonish color. Fruit is still there. Dark ruby fruit, black cherry. Little acidity. Faint nose. Undergrowth forward
